Polignano a Mare - Quintessential Apulia | Weekend in Italy
The sights of Polignano a Mare are many - this tour will take you to discover the historic center with its narrow alleys, white houses, terraces above the sea, and architectural gems. You’ll see many remains of the Roman domination, which include the bridge of the Via Traiana (an offshoot of the Via Appia), which is still in use today. It crosses the small but deep bay Lama Monachile, just north of the town.
